Signal Circuit Isolators can be referred to as Data Communication Loop (DCL) Isolators by some manufacturers. It is a device with a relay in the short-sensing circuit of their out terminal. If the circuit has resistance the device is working properly, but where there is no resistance, the device will activate and conserve the loop’s normal function. Signal Circuit Isolators can include input/output devices, remote transponders, and annunciators.
