Direct Line

A direct line is a level of security that some businesses and institutions utilize because it directly links the building to the monitoring company through a separate telephone line. If this line suffers an interruption, it sends a signal to the monitoring company which can alert the authorities and emergency personnel. The direct line is monitored to prevent any tampering or interference.
