Fire Suppression System

A fire suppression system includes various agents, typically water, chemicals, or inert gases that suppress or extinguish a fire. Water is the most commonly type of suppression systems often used in automatic sprinklers to engage when a fire is detected. Wet or dry chemical systems are also used in areas such as commercial kitchens, or to protect paint or other particulate hazards. Inert gases like purified nitrogen and argon can also be used to smother a fire by cutting off the oxygen in the air.
