What Is NFPA 5000?
The National Fire Protection Association, NFPA, NFPA 5000 is the Building Construction and Safety Code® that applies to new construction or buildings that undergo some form of rehabilitation such as if the building is damaged, relocated, rehabilitated or experience is a change in usage. NFPA 5000 does not apply to existing buildings unless a form of rehabilitation applies.
